Chantal Yzermans
Chantal Yzermans lives full time in Saint Cirq Lapopie. She is an artist, dancer, choreographer and founder of Radicale 1924, an artists’ residency program centered in Saint Cirq Lapopie which hosts international artists in a four year-long, annual collaboration to bring life to the village through the arts.

Patrick de Braquilange

Patrick Braquillange, proprietor of Chateau Cenevieres, will lead an in-depth tour of his home owned by his family since 1793. A lover of French history and a wonderful story teller, M. Braquillange will bring the castle to life. First established in the 8th c. by the father of Charlemagne, the castle has been continuously occupied until today.

John Welchman

John Welchman

John Welchman, Professor of Modern Art at University of California, San Diego works in modern and contemporary art history and critical theory. Professor Welchman will lead an evening salon to present his famous lecture on “Faces in Art.”

Claudio Shonenberger

Claudio Shonenberger grew up as a resident of St Cirq Lapopie and is currently living in the north of France where he teaches history to French high school students in English. He will lead private tasting of local Malbecs at your lodging and will lead one of the evening salons, “Life in a Medieval Castle” the evening before we visit the Chateau Cenevieres.

Erica Michon

Erica Michon
Erica Michon is a full-time resident in St Cirq Lapopie who is actively involved in village life as a member of the village council. Her interests include the arts and regional geology. She will guide a tour of the village, revealing its history, architecture, and natural wonders of its setting. Along the way she will stop to introduce you to numerous resident artists and artisans.

Clèment Gaësler

Clèment Gaësler
Clément Gaësler, 26, is the curator of the new International Centre for Surrealism and Global Citizenship at the fabulous Maison Andre Breton in St Cirq.  His life could be a surreal picture of its own. A 2021 graduate of the prestigious Ecole du Louvre, he is extremely accomplished as one of the youngest curators in France. He is competing with 800 others to become one of France’s 15 Heritage Curators. He will guide you through the home of the founder of Surrealism sharing detailed history of its occupant and his cohorts.
